MW Awards

Just a quick note to let you know that yesterday evening I was officially welcomed as one of eight new members of the Institute of Masters of Wine – and what an amazing evening it was!  In fact the whole day was pretty special, beginning with the IMW Annual Claret tasting (which I’ll be writing up in due course) and finishing with me putting on a frock and some high heels to receive my certificate and one or two unexpected awards.

It all took place in the extraordinarily grand setting of Vintners’ Hall on Upper Thames Street, but I’m going to leave Pete (who was there with camera in hand) to post some photos and fill you in on few more details (to save me blowing my own trumpet a bit too hard).
