House & Garden on WWS
(by peter & susie)
Our wine writing colleague Joanna Simon – for many years wine columnist on The Sunday Times – has given us a lovely write-up in this month’s House and Garden (March 2011 issue).
Her review reads:
‘Winchester Wine School was opened last year by Susie Barrie and Peter Richards, the wine world’s youngest married Masters of Wine. They are now taking bookings for their spring courses and events, such as Back to Basics, a 90-minute fast-track session of tasting and tuition, including six wines, aroma phials and – more serious than it sounds – jelly beans to illustrate the difference between taste and flavour. Back to Basics costs £35.’
We held a sell-out Back to Basics course in early February and will be posting more dates in due course.
In the meantime, we have limited spaces available on the following wine courses:
An Evening for the Girls: Monday 28th Feb, 7.30-9pm, Winchester Hotel du Vin, £40 per person.
Classic Wines of the World: Tuesday 22nd March, 7.30-9pm, Winchester Hotel du Vin, £70 per person.
As ever, an automatic 10% discount is available to those who subscribe to our free newsletter, details of which you can find by clicking here.
