Saturday Kitchen 30.5
(by Susie Barrie MW)
It was FA Cup final weekend and the trophy even made its way into the Saturday Kitchen studio (hope no one got greasy fingers on it…) This was a split wine shoot, with Susy Atkins in Birmingham for Aston Villa and I went to the home of Arsenal in north London.
Arsenal ran out winners in the match – but all of these wines are well worth championing.

Passimento Bianco 2014, Italy (£8.99, Majestic)
Susie comments: Strong flavours here including tamarind, chilli, lemon and honey – but this supple, succulent wine makes a brilliant match. The wine’s quite rich, a novel style made using partially dried grapes and that richness works really well with the sweet and spice of the dish, as well as all those varied flavours. Well worth a try.
