Follow Your Taste is a colour-coded system designed to help make sense of wine. (We originally designed it for Wine Festival Winchester, to help people find the wines they like among the hundreds on offer.)

We’ve broken wine down into seven basic taste categories. Each category has a colour suggestive of its style as well as a tongue-in-cheek strap line. ‘Dark Horse’ is an extra category for anything that defies easy categorisation.

All our wine tips and recommendations on the site will go into one of these categories, to communicate its style clearly and help you find the wines you like best and experiment with confidence. Click on each badge above to see the relevant tips, as well as some very brief hints on food matching.

Mind you, if you’re like us, you’ll like all styles of wine equally. We’ve got a strap line for that too: ‘I’m Easy’.
