To tie in with rosé day (11th June), Susie recommended a delicious pink on Saturday Kitchen to go with Maria Elia’s pulled duck burgers with peach, cabbage and apple slaw. Maria termed it, ‘perfect’ while show host Donal Skehan quipped: ‘Susie’s on it!’

It’s a lovely dish that’s a bit different but both flavoursome and refreshing. The wine has very much the same feel, and is one of the best that renowned Rioja producer Muga has produced in a while: elegant strawberry scents and a lovely dry finish. By way of an alternative, the Chapel Down English rose 2014 (£10.99) also makes a nice match in a slightly more succulent and tangy style. (Susie, June 2016, 6/10)
