I do like this new vintage of the Muga rosé – it strikes a lovely balance between intensity and elegance, and it works beautifully with food too.
I recommended it on Saturday Kitchen to go with crispy chicken thighs, avocado, chargrilled asparagus, chorizo and aioli by Stephen Terry. It tied in with the summery, Spanish character of the dish and just brought all the flavours on the plate into even keener focus.
‘Perfect, absolutely perfect’ was how Stephen termed it – and it went down very well in studio, even if show host Angela Hartnett referred to the category as ‘vino collapso’ as that’s what she does when she drinks too much rosé when on holiday…
